An Old Time Music Hall was held in the church halls. The evening was supported by seventy people who enjoyed a supper of mince and tatties or macaroni cheese, home baking, and teas and coffees. This was followed by everyone singing songs from the good old days. It was wonderfully compered by Iain Nalder, who produced some very corny jokes and even conjured up a little magic. The music was led by our musical director Jo Baird, who not only played the piano for us, but also gave us a solo, singing ‘All I Want is a Room Somewhere.’
Everyone said what a wonderful evening it had been and how much they had enjoyed it. So not only was money raised for charity, but people went home very happy after enjoying an evening of good food, singing and fellowship.
